ALLWINNER T7 High-Performance Embedded System with Multi-Camera Interface

High-Performance Embedded System with Multi-Camera Interface

This project features a two-board embedded system designed for advanced multimedia, imaging, and wireless applications.

🔹 Main Board (12 Layers)
At the core of the system is the Allwinner T7 processor, optimized for high-performance video and image processing. The design integrates two MT41K64M16TW DDR3 devices for fast memory access and a KLMBG2JETD-B041 eMMC for reliable storage.

The board supports four Sony IMX350-AAQH5 camera modules connected through FFC connectors, enabling high-resolution multi-camera imaging. To manage high-speed data paths, the design incorporates two TS5MP646 high-speed switches and two NTS0104UK level shifters for proper voltage domain translation. Power and battery charging are handled by the BQ25898 charger IC.

🔹 Daughter Board (4 Layers)
The companion board expands the system with wireless and USB connectivity. It integrates the ESP32-S2-MINI-1U Wi-Fi MCU, enabling flexible wireless communication. The board features a USB Type-C interface (TYPE-C-31-M-12) with PTN5150 controller for data/power delivery, along with TPS66020 and AZ1117-3.3 regulators for efficient power management. Additional support components such as the MMICT3902 enhance peripheral compatibility.

🔹 PCB Design
Both boards were developed in KiCad. The main board was fabricated on a 12-layer stack-up, optimized for high-speed signal integrity, controlled impedance routing, and robust power delivery, while the daughter board was designed on a 4-layer stack-up, ensuring a balance of compactness, cost, and performance.

This system highlights advanced expertise in processor-based hardware design, multi-camera integration with Sony IMX350 sensors, high-speed memory interfacing, and modern power/USB management, making it suitable for embedded vision, IoT, and next-generation multimedia platforms.
